By developing advanced hydralic systems I have noticed the practical use of legged vehicles! I've noticed several minature models TODAY! They could turn into the 2 legged behemoths of the future!

Stats: Plymouth like colony: Arachnid Factory required to be active:
Basic MLAV:
HP: 450
Armor: Medium
FP: 1 weapon (chin mounted) (all types)
Speed: Fast
Common Ore: N/A
Rare Ore: N/A
3rd Ore: N/A

Standard MLAV:
HP: 800
Armor: Heavy
FP: 1 weapon (all types)
Speed: Medium
Common Ore: N/A
Rare Ore: N/A
3rd Ore: N/A

Advanced MLAV:
HP: 950
Armor: Heavy Renforced
FP: 2 weapons (opposing side mounted) (all types) -10% ROF
Speed: Very Slow
Common Ore: N/A
Rare Ore: N/A
3rd Ore: N/A

Balanced all round statistics while not being all out ultimate. And they and another purpose to the arachnid factory! I will need the statistics of the Lynx, panther, and tigers that will be used in oreder to make a precise modification.

I don't know about other people, but i think there should be only one MLAV.
The basic MLAV only.
Gordon Freeman, and mr. Crowbar would own Master Chief in any part of the day.

Ok can you describe these in some more detail  CHIN mounted doesnt make sence with out visual aid.

Multi Legged Assault Vec?

I get the feeling people arent going to want Mech like units in the game.  Unless the possiblity is there controlled by another colony genesis team has told us about.

Freeza does have a point when he wants some visual aid. This will be the second phase. After we have collected ideas, whoever came up with the idea will have to give us a rendition (a proposed design)  of it. And we will move from there. But if you can give visual aid at this point, this will be a plus as well.

Arg.... I'd be glad to give you a 3D model but I don't have a modeler.... if you could send me one I'd build one.

MLAV = Mobile Legged Assault Vehicle:

UMMMM....... Actually I thought these up before I got MechWarrior or Commander.

I will try to get a model like design up here....

no 3D necessary. You can just give us a sketch. Make it so that is shows the Unit from 3 Different plane. I am not asking for something mighty good, just an illustration. You can do those by hand and then scan them. If you don' t have a scanner, use mspaint!

Good luck

Play MechWarrior instead of trying to turn OP3 into it.

And this isn't StarSiege. This is Outpost.
We don't have spinfusors and jetpacks, either.

HUH? What is that........ I said it's like those games, atleast they're more realistic the MW4 and they have a more detailed explanation of how the vehicles work. I mean C&C and other games have tanks so should we take those out! I mean even battlefield 2142 has Herc like units..... Basically a MLAV with shields. Also technically MLAV's could fire down and up cliffs and over walls due to their added adaptiveness.

And that's my other point. Mechs are overdone and cliche.
If you can give them some sort of noteworthy originality, maybe.

Huh!

SIMPLY PUT. The MLAV is an Ultra adaptive vehicle that is good for RURAL combat and isn't uber. If you don't want it to fire over walls fine.

EDIT: Mechs have a lot of guns these only have one or two.

Ok people here's a detailed analysis of a MLAV.
Movement: Hydralic Legs
Power: Fusion Reactor
FP: Non Uber
Armor: Non Uber
Speed: Moderate
Turret rotation: 360 degrees
Height: 1.2 Tigers
Size: 1.4 Tigers
Sight: 1.2 Tigers
Terrain effect: Spider

We dont need Hercs in this game combine.  One reason they are over done and tend to start going over board.  There is only one 2 gun vec in outpost and thats the Tiger. plus if there HP and speed arent that great you might as well play as plymouth and use scorpians.  plus no one goes out to a rural area on the map unless there looking for more ore.  so its not like there is a bunch of tanks wandering around.

Going over board?

It's not UBER it has the same number of guns as a tiger... There was bound to be another vehicle with 2 guns...... There if all the vehicles had 1 gun it would be a pushing match!

It's an all round vehicle and when I said it's rural..... basically all the vehicles are rural because of the narrow space.

Look... Why do all the powerful vehicles have to be on treads which are slugs compared to virtually everything else? Where as a legged vehicle has the mobility to get to a battle before it's over.

Each colony has a tiger when they reseach it.  Dont need light vecs with 2 guns.  And if every one had the MLAV it wouldnt change a damn thing.  Legged vecs have always been slower then ground vecs its just a simple fact.  And there isnt going to be any realism terrain where the wheeled/tracked vecs cant go unless its a cliff.  No Mechs or Hercs sorry its not going to happen.  There is a Herc and a Mech RTS already.

But look at this

That is a Multiped Tank i thought up for gpgarrets OP3.  It was well liked because of how it fits in and the balance we gave it.

slightly slower then a tiger.  Has 2 barrels like a tiger.  has low armor but alot of hp.  Its fits the roll of a tiger in another colony.  So every colony isnt a carbon copy.  I wont give up more details but its well thought out.

Dag............. These could be good for a third colony but if I recall correctly someone said NO........ It wasn't me but they nearly took my head off! I still think these vehicles are nice and so is your idea.

These aren't Hercs or Mechs these are different just familiar in movement.

The only possiblity for your "hercs" is a third colony.  Other then that i dont see them in the game as the regular vecs would be used.

It seems there is only one new colony to work with and the other colonies would still use the same stuff they had in Op2.

These units would work for the Maesis.  But they would have to some what mimic the 3 combat units of eden and Plymouth.  Small fast light Medium defensive  and Larger slow and 2 barrels.

only the largest unit should have the 2 barrels.  Because the weapon ROF and AOE of weapons is determind by research topics that have been completed.

If used for this colony there armor HP and speed would have to be simular to to the lynx panther and Tiger.   It would be the only way to actually use these in the game with out them being useless.  I might even be persueded to make a couple concepts for them to.

More Uber weapons?
This looks like some weapons from Star Wars.

I don't about you-all but it sounds to me that this is not going anywhere...

Well think of it this way Zanco`.  Its another colony and if they were separate from the Eden and Plymouth they would either.

A develop there own tech
B use the Earth database of tech and basicly use Abrams tanks

These WOULDNT be uber they just walk instead of roll.  They would be balanced to be onpar with tigers lynx and panthers.
