Allied Tubes

I was thinking if some one was allied and they linked there bases togther they could share there resources with out using the Trade center.  Now when I say resources i mean Common and Rare ore not workers or scis.

If i had 10000 ore and they had 10000 it would make 20000 ore once the tubes were connected.

Or The trade center could be used for this With some buttons that transfer ore instantly if connected by tube.  With this way one person couldnt burn through the ore building units and leave the other colony helpless.

I love this idea, and make it so you don't have to connect your base on one side of an ally with the smelter you have on the other side by going all the way around with the tube!  THat always annoyed me in WON

This could be very interesting - the team has combined ore I assume?  This would require teamwork and communication so they don't burn through it, and would also allow for a player to specialize in mining while the other player could attend to other matters.

Is that more of that there one coloney more one player operating in it with player specialist mining opoerater person, another for instine building stuf, defence person, attack person..

Why not just have 2 people control 1 colony?  it would almost be easier to implement than this.

I am a big fan of that idea too.

The difference is that with one, population and power doesn't have to be shared (but it could?) and the other everything is shared.

I like both ideas.

The problem with two people in control of one colony can be seen in the shared bases or Starcraft.  People tend to fight over the building of stuff or lack the communication to use it effectively.  Where as when two people are just sharing ores then they need not worry about one colony just there own.  But still have to manage the ore.  But the ore on a linked base would come back incredibly fast because of the smelters.  Besides with two people in one base its still just one base. dont have to ally or any thing.  And you couldnt link up with more people.  Like you could with just sharing the ore with the linked tubes.

two or more colonies linked by a tube but require a trade center to have the combined ore.  Maybe even combined power.

i think one of the first changes op2 needs is A BIGGER TEXT BOX. and chat messages SHOULD APPEAR ON SCREEN - NOT HIDDEN IN SOME DAMN MENU I HAVE TO HUNT FOR, FFS!

i think that would make working with a joined player much easier!

Yes, OP3 needs much better chat communication (better UI period)
