Back without popular demand...
« on: October 15, 2004, 08:59:44 AM »
... an Outpost Community newsletter.  The unsuccessful primary attempts made by first myself then OP2PTRIOT having been put behind us all, another chance have been given.  The new Outpost Communicator (OPC(heh, it was the best name I could think of)) willbe a monthly, if not weekly newsletter highlighting upcoming events in the community, 'friendly' reminders from the mods/admins, new members to the forum, and the occasional joke from the past of the community.  I expect to have the first issue read no later than November 1st.  If xfir is okay with it, I will have the link posted in a locked and pinned thread in the News forum.  Once it has started, if anyone would like to announce a tournament, small contest (anything from a quiz to seeing who can beat you first), or would like to give some suggestions, please send me a PM.

... I am alive. My own forum ( http://thirdcorner.hosted-forum.com ) has been keeping me quite busy, it recently has calmed down. It has more posts than this place, last time I checked. Just started a big RPG, been writing sacred forum books, maintaining a relationship with my girlfriend ... and other friends that are ladies. I actually got to meet one of them in real life.

I lack time for Outpost 2 on the scale I used to do it on. I couldn't convince anyone to come over here, I think, from my forum. I have recently got out the Outpost 2 CD (not sure which one it is, but it is not the cracked one) and have been playing. I am considering improving my Eden Labyrinth map. I am quite impressed by the progress you all have made. ... and no, my trainer is not going public. I use it to make some nice scenarios.

The Forbidden Outpost 2 Forum ... they don't want you to know about it.

The "El Philibo" lives.  Nice to see you again.  As for your statement about this forum having less posts, we did some pruning.

Serious side of insanity ... don't remember ever hearing that.

Maybe sometime I can give out Labyrinth 2, with a whole new labyrinth, that is not going to be overrun by lava in some spots.

Well, for free, I give non-legal conseling to troubled people. I call me Dr. Philbo in such circumstances. Dr. of what, I don't know.

I actually devised a way for Capture the Flag to be played on a forum. I never got the 32 people I needed to play. I'd consider handing over the rules and making team size adjustments. Or maybe, convert the rules and map from four teams to two.
