I think the blight is the most serious disaster. It happens in very few maps though, so I'd have to say: vortex. Tigers don't hurt if you have defenses, but If you're unlucky enough to be hit by a vortex, you lose.(whether it's a lab,cc,or 5 tigers, doesn't really matter as it all effects you.)

Ofcourse disasters are disabled in most multi-games, so tigers.

i say the blight is the worst because even though you escape it it is faster than volcano and goes over hills and cliffs. that is my finall vote. But on the other hand a bunch of tigers is prety bad too in ways.

in the plymouth pop map on normal or hard i always get lots of lynxs and panthers (simple cos of EMP missle+spider army)... just camping at the staging point for their forces...

course one time i built a load of EMP turrets and spider army right where they come on (which i believe is about 3-4 squares to the right of the left edge)


anywho, the blight is not the most annoying, spontaneous disasters are more annoying, i.e. metors and vortexs

Blight, by far.

Volcano, sure, it kills terrains usability, but theres limits to where it can and cannot go.

All other disasters are only local, blight is global.

I just thought, in the 4th lvl, when you send the units into the blight, they are able to resist it for a while, and than they dont blow up, they change sides

why than for the rest of the time the vecs blow up instantly?  I know those vecs were specially sealed, but why woulndt they do that with every vec?

Big difference, a Colony you can resist, stop, and eventually annihilate.

The Blight, you can only slow down. You can never stop it, you can never defeat it. You can never win against it.

Also, the Blight is unaffected by terrain, volcanoes, and such, it is only effected by Day and Night, which is insignificant. A colony is effected by everything but Day and Night.
