A few people here do obviously not understand the structure of the opu forums. I'd appreciate if these people read forum descriptions and category names more carefully before posting. And mods should move threads if appropriate.

A programming question (although it describes a problem) does not belong in "Feedback/Suggestions/Problems" under "General Community". Even if the forum description may be misleading the category name "General Community" should make it obvious that this is the wrong place.

Furthermore, a thread about a proposed change of how op2 works does not belong into "General Interest -> General Interest -> Debate" which is not for op2 but for "[...] debates on things from politics to the meaning of life.". Almost the same applies to "General Interest -> General Interest -> General Game Discussion" which is "For all other games out there!".

The title and description of this part says Feedback/Suggestions/Problems.  Maybe stating that the problems need to be opu related in the description could help.

Stop making a big deal out of it, and just correct people when they post in the wrong place.  If it bothers you that much ask a mod to move it.

And yes, this is not really the forum to use when asking for help with level code you've written yourself which doesn't work. But yes, the problem is easily solved.


Actually, if they were too lazy to read the one line sub-forum description, they're probably too lazy to read this thread and pay much heed to the suggestion. :P

Then you have the fact of misinterpritation of the description might occur.

Sorry, I got a bit too upset.

I have the feeling that all the people who I talked about will read this thread and will do better in the future. Much easier than making a post in every thread which is in a wrong forum.
