Hah

That is young.

It can be amusing to watch a computer play.

Welcome entropino :) You sound like a RTS gamer, like many of us here. Outpost 2 is a classic and worth the time to learn. We have a chatroom, hope to see you there and we can help you with multiplayer.

Chatroom info here: irc.outpostuniverse.org

Hi Outpost_Pete here. Love the Outpost 1.5 game and the revamped work done for the download.(Have played 2.0 but not as enjoyable.) Thanks cause my original disc does not work on current computer! Download version is a little glitch y unless I turn down screen resolution to half. I have always wondered why? Does it have to do with being written for for 1994 - 32 bit computer/now on 64 bit 2016 thing?

Welcome!

Outpost was written for 16-Bit computers (specifically Windows 3.1 which never came in a 32bit version). 32Bit flavors of Windows were able to run 16bit code using an emulation core (NTVDM I believe) which was dropped in 64Bit versions.

If you have any issues running the package we put together head on over there and post away, I'll gladly answer any questions you may have.

Hello, welcome.

My current computer has no optical drive. They're getting pretty rare these days. I have piles of old CDs and DVDs at home, but nothing to read them with anymore.

Hint: USB External optical drive. At most $20 in the US. No idea in Cambodia or China or wherever you are these days.

I'm locking this thread since we don't really need a master thread in a dedicated forum. Introductions are still welcome, just create your own threads.
