flashy, that was kinda rude...understandable skepticism with how many we're still getting, but still rude.

Welcome, be sure to check in often, and if you can download the OPU IRC to be able to play against others.

"hello" for an introduction is not much material to build upon. Being nice just for the sake of it as such is debatable, at least for some.

well, from what I've seen in the shoutbox he's not a bot...plus his details don't show up in the database.

What are you saying? You don't have to be nice to every one?

I am new to Outpost 1, purchased the CD at a trade show in the 80's and just opened it Sunday 6/17/2012.  It is addictive     I live in Michigan and know C++, Visual Basic 2008, Adobe Flash CS5 and some HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.  My birthday is October 8.  I played the game all day yesterday and have vague memories of the past week.

Hello I am a huge fan of outpost 2, been playing it since I could use a computer, so around 4 years old.

I am 18 years, born on April 4, 1994

I love playing video games for entertainment, but I hate it when people get overly competitive.

I live in California in the desert, where it is hot, dry, and never airless.

I have to say this site surprised me. I never thought that there were still others playing such an old yet classic strategy game as outpost 2.
Just cause I'm new, doesn't mean I'm stupid. Say what you must, if I don't understand I will say so.

Hello there, nice to know there are still people interested in Outpost 2 and find their way into these forums. Maybe there are even chances at playing some multiplayer. (Even though I'm somehow unable to install the program for the chat)

I have been trying to play mutiplayer for years, but either couldn't find anyone to play, or couldn't figure out how.  :(

At least back when we used IRC instead of XMPP, I could join the chat and sometimes there would be people helping you set up a game. Of course I haven't seen what's going on in the chat lately because of the aforementioned reasons.

AFAICT, work is being done on making the XMPP chat room more accessible. I’ve opened a post to present alternate clients and I’m hoping the server would change to something less buggy and more complete.

Hello everybody I am helpmenow. I found outpost 2 in a trash can and started playing it. It isn't bad. The only reason I am on this forum is because I am waiting to test an important result from my forum topic. Could someone tell me more about the game? I had a little trouble starting it...

Hey both Truewolf and HelpMeNow. HMN, Outpost 2 is a space city/war simulator, but if you are going to play it, I suggest you download the version from the site, it's a bit more updated :P

Hello helpmenow!

I hope, the mysteriousness of your presence here will soon become clearer. Right now I'm just not seeing what you want.

Outpost 2 is about the time after Earth got destroyed by a huge meteor and only a few humans managed to escape to some other planet which they called New Terra. New Terra wasn't exactly Earth and thus they had to stay in their structures and tubes and they also began to terra form the planet. Some colonists didn't like the terra forming and founded another colony called "Plymouth" (the original one being "Eden"). The microbe which was designed for terra forming got out of control and they had to evacuate again.

Greetings Everyone!

I am MegaGamer2010, aka Mega.  Have been playing Outpost 2 for a long time and still really like it.  I would like to some help from someone to make a map for the game as I'm not able to figure out how to use the mapper (not a programmer...).  I'm just looking for something simple and big.  I like to build large cities with no worry of disasters or cliffs, and plentiful mining.  If anyone can help me with this, please let me know.

Thanks!
