Server Downtime
« on: July 09, 2005, 03:47:37 AM »
The server keeps going down.
And i'm not just talking the forum, but the whole server, along with other websites that are located on it :(

Hope something will be done about it soon

yeah... I kinda can't get to my old plymoth.xfir.net one anymore, i can access this one, and lev, the reason i still use that one is because it has important files on it that i have not figured out how to copy without changing the db which would take hours of my precious time.

Xfir is still hosted by Punboy. Although, I think on a different machine but still at the same location.

Yes it is a different machine. We had 2 outages this morning.

(07-09-2005 01:40:02 - 07-09-2005 03:05:02) - unknown cause

(07-09-2005 04:40:02 - 07-09-2005 05:26:35) - unknown cause, ended in the server being booted/restarted.

The outage/security Breach yesterday (07-08-2005 14:30:02 - 07-08-2005 15:15:02) was due to php being updated to 5.0.4 (and apperently some rather dumb sysadmins :heh:).

I'll let you know if i find any more out.

This is odd...

I don't really have time to worry about OPU anymore though, HVK has become priority for me as we are having problems with hackers.

Lmfao dragon.

Sorry I haven't been active lately, but i'm having similar situations to plymouth45..

My linux server is finally up (the triad (you kno which triad) will be running in the matter of a few days) and I'll have my hosting and web design service up in no time flat.

I don't know what I plan to do about self-serve configuraton (cPanel-like interface) but hopefully I'll find a reasonable solution (as far as price goes) if anyone had or has a copy of cpanel, it's needless to say that it'd be greatly appreicated, and any reimbursement I could give you (non-monetary, cuz i broke the bank a while back) would be just a small token of my (and the company's) appreication.

Eh w/e, i'll ramble forever, but ya'll won't do a damn thing.. lmao
