Ai needed for world map Colony game

As many of you already know im creating a new colony game. This will be the first world map colony game. Im going to need some help developeing Ai for this map, I have this neat i dea that ther is a ai battle going on and they pritty much destroyed your base and yuou must rebuild it and defeat the multiple ai.  simple methoods that i can iompliment would be great. with simple call such as KillBOT(int player, int x, int y, bool attack); x,y being the locationof the cc

anything would be great, but i think im going to wait till the new map editor comes out till I set my mind on the map. On that train of thought, I was wondering if it was possible to create any map size that wraps around like a world map? that worldmap seems way too big for any fun gameplay, you will always be looking for whats going on

Around-The-World-ness is determined by map width. You can decrease the height, but decreasing the width will remove the around the world aspect. (You can probably also increase the width if you wanted.)

This would suggest that New Terra is in fact 512x512 tiles big; although creating a sphere from a square map does pose some problems near the poles.. lol

But, yes, i agree with haxtor - a world map is just too large to play

ai code is going along very good, continueing going on with the world map idea, looking into makeing ai being created in some areas only after you start exploreing the map more, that way there is less ai going on durring begining gameplay less lag, exploreing the idea of an ai takeing over a abandoned colorny like yours.
