Outpost Undivided
« on: November 03, 2004, 07:24:24 AM »
This is a game that I'm making while my computer gets fixed...  There will be four games, one for each colony. I just have the splash screen done (and the story), but it's worth a look.

Outpost Undivided: Gemini 199KB

Thanks  (Tell me what you think)

Edit - Hmm. The size decreased. lol

Updated![/b][/size]
Features:

Mission Customization
-Like Op1, Choose What you want
A Map Engine
-It didn't look like you can scroll, so I put a mine. Also, If you want to crash it,  scroll to about posistion 95 in either X or Y.  It'll Generate an array error.

Next-Step Projects:

Add Exit Buttons (LOL)
Fix Scrolling Engine
Add Building Functions

Hehe.  I already have a few hours into this game.  It may be done soon. (Maybe.)   No promises though... (If you're wondering why I'm not working on OP3, my computer broke, so I'm using my secondary installation of Windows and can't get to my code.)

And is another apparantly totally dead project. Ugh... Maybe I should take this idea and run with it. OPUTool is released and is in a stable condition (for the most part). OP:MIA is kind of halted for the time being considering that I'm still repairing my dev computer. And Genesis is kind of tinkering along like most projects do when they first start out... :-)

Maybe I'll give it a shot. I don't think I'll use the VB stuff. I may use VB for rapid development but I think I'll use DirectX or some other better form of drawing graphics than what this project originally started out being.

I wonder though... maybe a simple little thing... hmmmm..... ideas are running... this may not be a good thing... we all know what happens when I get to thinking.

I think a useful question to ask ourselves and the rest of the forums/IRC is has anyone seen gpgarretboast at all anywhere. I haven't seen him since June. So I can only wonder.

Like we all are. :P

I think he left after the whole 'forum split' thing, another one of those people who got all bothered by that.

He was active in the community up till that point, then after that day he came in irc one or two times, than disappeared.

I could be wrong though, he might have a different reason to be gone...

Yep, very. But so many members come and just dont stay. They just give up on Outpost 2, it would seam so many people just dont care.

Very often someone will stay on irc and play for about a week, maybe post a little on the forums but after that they just go. EMPLeader came back for a while then left.. like so so many others.

op2hacker and I love to moan about this because it makes us both so sad.

Well, as they say, Misery loves company. You've got a third one griping about it as well.
