I recently ran a copy of Windows 1.0 in Bochs (If you don't know, Bochs is a program that can emulate the operation of an intel based processor. in layman's terms, I can run any OS I want - inside a window in WinXP. (It doesn't run as fast as it would natively, of course, and cdrom and sound support are sketchy.)
Here I present to you, a screenshot of the file manager of Windows 1.0:
Quite scary that it was this basic wasn't it?
(For the record: my mouse did not work. I had to use arrow keys to navigate. When I tried to run a program, it did not run. It's more or less a useless copy of windows.)
