Relay Bros.
« on: November 20, 2018, 10:52:19 PM »
Came across this relatively new channel on YouTube that really deserves way more attention than it's currently getting:

Relay Bros

Long story short -- they get a bunch of composers together to compose small segments of a melody from (generally) older games like Blaster Master, Mega Man 7, ActRaiser and others which are then strung together as a 'relay medley'. It's an interesting idea and the Blaster Master Area 1 remix is what caught my attention:

Check them out, they've got some awesome remix's! :D

What's a "relay medley"? You mean it switches from one theme song to another?

Should we add an epilepsy warning to this? The background zoom animation is obnoxious.

Music is alright though.

A bunch of different composers all remix the same song in different styles, the medley part comes in how they're all strung together.

I agree that the background animation is annoying, it's basically the same in all of their videos but the point is not the background animation, it's the remix. :D

Here's one from a newer game:
