Outpost 2 Original Cd
« on: April 19, 2009, 05:50:35 PM »
Well, I have uploaded Outpost 2 ISO, and you can use all thoes nasty cheats against the computer as you want, or maybe try it online :P. To use the ISO, you will need something like Daemon Tools Lite, Magic ISO, Power ISO or even something stupid like Winrar. So, well here it is:

Outpost 2 ISO - Mirror 1

Outpost 2 ISO - Mirror 2

Steps to play:
1 - Download the file of course
2 - Download Daemon Tools Lite (The download button is on the right middle)
3 - Install it (It's a 7mb download)
4 - The red lightning bolt icon on your taskbar, right click on it
5 - Goto "Virtual CD/DVD Rom" then "Device 0: [#:] Empty" (The "#" is replaced by a letter, for me its "I")
6 - Click "Mount Image" and navigate to Outpost 2.iso file and mount it
7 - Goto "My Computer" and install from there (Or computer for us Vista guys)

Feed back if it works, I will upload to another site if it doesn't, or just use it as another mirror :D

It might help to enable Automount, so you don't have to re-mount the .iso at every startup.

worked fine for me. You need to mount the cd (virtually put the cd in to a cd drive) ever time you want to play

yeah thats what i keep doing, i mount the virtual cd and the click play, it then asks me to insert my op2 cd. i will try a few other things and try to get it to work.

EDIT: I have tried everything that i can think of with still no luck. it still keeps asking me to insert the cd.

If you have the CD, why don't you just install it yourself?

dougc2004 it could be that op2 doesnt takes the letter of your drive couse you installed from something like E: / F:/ maybe try to change the drive letter if you realy want it to work

its the cd, nothing else. if you have the orignal cd, use it if you want cheats, else, use patch 3.15 beta 2 or something like that.

problem with using the original CD and installing it with that....THERE ARE NO PATCHES INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL CD. that's the downside to having the original cd i get base game with all the original bugs prior to patches 1, 2, and 3, and then all the following patches that fixed even more things.

There were no official patches other than the 3 expansion sets. I do have copies of those, let me upload them...

i don't intend on downloading them lol i don't intend on cheating in op2 cause that makes the game lose it's flavor. so uploading them was kinda pointless lol

Can you take (high res so I can read the text) pictures of the box, including the part that opens up (I THINK it had one) please? I want to remember what was on it. :P I remember there was a couple messages written by the leaders of Eden and Plymouth on it about their thoughts on the conflict, the Plymouth one being handwritten.
