Can Renegades Be Run With...?

renegades is for outpost 2? and if installed does it add on to, or replace the campaigns already in the game.

AkA. would i need a seperate install of outpost 2 to i could enjoy it with and without renegades?

We normally call said type of mod a "total conversion" so my question is, addition or "TC"?

You shouldn't have to use multiple installs but I would probably recommend doing so just to keep the copies clean for multiplayer purposes. (It uses the mod loader system we wrote, so it should be pretty clean and install itself to a subdirectory of the OP2 install folder).

It replaces the campaign. I don't know if you could call it a total conversion, same tilesets and units (so far) but there are a lot of visual changes to the menus in game at least.

Well other than getting my a** handded to me by the computer in most of the levels. I like it.

Request for mission 3 could you make the food supple bigger? Having to set up the base and rebuild fast after the lava starts is a pain.

Request for mission 4. Add to the mission quest what labs the scouts are to look at to get the tech. There dose not seam to be enought information in the objectivs list to figure out where to send the scouts.

Sorry to rag on Renegades. I love the mod don't take it the wrong way.

Wish there was a colony mission set for it. having to deal with both the eden and Plymouth colony. Maybe give the renegades the abilty to have eden reserch also.

Maybe I will spend the time and figure out how to make the mod coding myseft and send you the colony mission.

There is a Renegades colony game, but it's crashy so Eddy-B didn't include it.

As for mission 4, if you hover your mouse over buildings, the outline around them will turn green (as compared to light gray for regular buildings). A similar effect can be observed on the Eden Advanced Labs in E/P 4 (original campaigns) or the Evac Transports in E/P 12 (again, original campaigns).

1) it should install in a seperate folder if i remember correctly. Also: it can be installed OVER an existing OP2: there will be 2 executables: 1 regular Outpost.exe and one new Renegades.exe.  If you run renegades, you will not have the original campaigns, but if you run outpost.exe you can play as if there is no renegades installed.

2) i do not take requests for finished (and released) missions, other than bug-reports.. and yes, yes, i know the mission 3/4 transition has some bugs (end of mission 3 sometimes crashes and sometimes mission 4 doesn't load correctly)

oh, a couple months ago i tried looking into the colony game again, but i still couldn't find the bug(s) that crash the game.. sorry ;(

i am guessing make a shortcut for renegades and for OTA outpost and put both in start menu? and thats awsome you at least tried and looked into it again.
