1) Remove Vista from your computer
2) Install a previous version of Windows

You could try installing virtual machine. That might work...

Vista networking has been a pain in my butt for a couple months now. Not nearly as easy to "plug and play" as 2000/98 is.

Uh, I thought there were instructions (well, one thing you have to follow) for Vista in our multiplayer setup guide (especifically, having to press alt in the network connections window).

My dad found something that turns XP into Vista without all the over-kill security features.  It actually looks interesting, and it's still XP, just with a vista look.
CK9 in outpost
Iamck in runescape (yes, I still play...sometimes...)
srentiln in minecraft (I like legos, and I like computer games...it was only a matter of time...) and youtube...

yup, I have too many screen names

Good luck getting DX10 on that. (And no, the DX10 wrapper experiment for XP doesn't count.)

Ehm.. to setup OP2 for multiplayer in Vista, you do exactly the same as you would do with xp.

I'm playing OP2 multi through ham with no problems at all.

Hooman's advice wins. The rest of you fail. Your colonies just got bulldozed and replaced by Red Light Districts.

I guess that means Lev will still have a merry walk through our bases at the end of the day ?

Having Vista is as bad as or worse than having a MAC and wishing to play any game that's on Steam AND not having bootcamp due to the DRM
