I started playing other games, and eventually in 2007 took a look at it again.
I finally beat the campaign for both sides (on easy) and was pretty much finished.
-Yes I know Im not the best at OP2 lol thats what happens when you play many games in your lifespan. I could beat Eden Starship Hard and Plymouth Starship hard, I probably suck against people though.
Anyway, Im going to try and get hamachi and play some games soon. BTW, this question has been in my head for a while know so Im just going to say it flat out:
Why do people still play this game?

Its from 1997 LMAO. And the wierd part about it is it pretty good, in terms of gameplay. Anyone who has OP2, do you guys play games beside it?
Their are games with a similar(as far as the Rts thing goes, minus the colony managment) feel too them like:
Command and Conquer:
The First Decade
C&C:Generals
C&C 3: Tiberium Wars
Also, if you like space games, then check out Starcraft.
Its not the newest, but a 2nd one is in devolopment by Blizzard.
Yes I know you think I hate OP2 but actually it can compete with these games.
Anyway, hopefully I can figure out Hamachi and play a few games.
