The idea of having the nano-technology facility implemented ave me the idea that if it were to be added we could also give it the ability to reasearch mobile nano containment modules. This technology could allow biuldings to slowly repair themselves and it would also bring up a new vehicle! The Nano-Technology Repair vehicle would contain nano bots that could be used to FULLY repair vehicles in the field, this would come at the cost being that when the vehicle runs out of nanobots it must return to a garage an refill it's containment modules.

If Nano Technology facility is added.
Stats: All:
HP: 400
Armor: Light
Speed: Medium
FP: Repairs vehicles to 100% HP and is also capable of resupply at the garage
SFP: Can repair itself if nano-bots are avalible and is ordered to repair itself
Nano Bots: In HP terms: 2000
Repair Rate: Compared to garage: 85%
Common Ore: 1950: includes initial nano-bots
Rare Ore: 640: includes initial nano-bots
3rd Ore: N/A

Other stats: nano-bot replenishments at garage
Common Ore: 750
Rare Ore: 440
3rd Ore: N/A

Good:
A. Fully repairs vehicles in the field
B. Half decent speed
C. Capable of self repairs
D. Not... Ultra expensive considering the fact it can be reused
E. Excellent rate of repair!
F. Good number of repair points (in HP)
G. Quite frankly I can't think of anything else but HEY this is good enough for me!

Bad:
A. Unarmed
B. Lightly armored
C. Can be caught by fast vehicles
D. Prime target for (c****ds) who don't want to face the military units head on
E. Requires Nano-technology facility to be active in order to replenish nano-bots and to be built
F. Limited number of nano-bots

Hey..... Atleast it isn't invulnerable and bristling with honking huge space guns!
Still it would be nice not to have to have a garage on the frontlines where it's a prime target, and requires a CC to be attached to it!

Here's another possible ability!
AFP: Can scrounge up surface ore's to turn into nano-bots

the Garage can already repair units to full it just needs to bealbe to mass exit vecs at once instead of one at a time.  Nanobots would be extreemly useless and cliche.  Look what happens in Star Craft: Brood Wars.   People will make squads of medics and then like a quad of marines and then go kill every thing that doesnt have a seige cannon.  And if any one says "well we will just limit there numbers" That makes them completely useless and no one will use em very much or not at all.

That's why it has a limited number of HP repair points. So you have to recharge them at a garage but the garage won't be packed full.

I dont realy understand how this can make an improvment, besides what Freeza said about garages needing mass entrence and exit.

The improvement is that you don't have to pull back your attack force if it's damage to get repairs at a garage... Just send the N.T. Repair vehicle up to the damaged units and repair them there, when the vehicle runs out of nanites just send IT back to the garage. This would prevent garages from getting overwhelmed by an entire damaged attack force and also it would mean that the garage wouldn't have to as close to the battle!

I understand that part, but it still might have bad consequences out whieghing the good ones.
