Isn't that in Japan??

Wait... no... Thailand... I overnighted some equipment from there.. took 4 days.

Time must move differently there.

Oh nice. ... so, what kinda stuff do you find in a 5 star hotel anyways? I was in a 3 star hotel for a few days and it seemed pretty fancy. Then I went to some other hotel for a few days. Yes, dirty I think was the word to describe it. So what did I miss out on by being cheap?

Would you care to post any of those pictures? :)

Sure .. i'll ghet some of the picture online, prolly over the weekend.
I don't know who gives these hotels the stars they have, but i do know it has more stars when it has a higher quality of the service.

Our bathroom had a big tub, a shower, all in marble. The room was kinda big compared to other hotels i have been in before. We only stayed for 2 nights. The hotel has 7 types of rooms, and we stayed in the 2nd type (deluxe room); normal price: some $175 a night (6600 THB), breakfast wasn't included. We went out most of the day, and only had some roomservice at night.

Since i became a Diamond outside travel agent a couple months ago, i got the room for only $55 a night, which is even cheaper than you'd pay for a 3 star hotel in Europe :) Plus we enjoyed special treatment from the hotel guest relations department, and the assistent manager gave us a complete tour of the hotel; pictures later!

Suffice to say; it was an enjoyable experience, and it's sure worth staying at a 5-star again some time soon (i am a member already of Marriot & Hilton groups)
