Graphics Guru is someone like me. I make Models for Genesis. People who make skins and 2D things would be this. Thing is... nearly everyone on OPU has done a little of everything, so they would have to find a 'primary' one to 'train' in. In their signature they could say stuff like they are also good at coding and whatnot.

Ok so:

Mapping Guru(s)= are surveyors and we would have Master Surveyor and just Surveyor for two ranks
Coding Guru(s)= they could be called those bio doctors I don't remember their names but it was what the bad lady was (plastic surgeons?)
*The Hacking guru(s) I don't have a clue what we could call them
The Development Guru(s)=Scientists, that one is pretty clear
The Writing Guru(s)=Entertainers or some other nicer word meaning the same thing
graphics guru (s)= Someone like Stormy who does 3D/2D graphics, or is good at one or the other.

(like for me, I'm talented in 3D, and I'm taking 2D Media Art classes)

*The things in bold need to be figured out.

Lol, nice Freeza. Maybe I'll go spill my lunch so you'll have something to do. :P

Hmm, I couldn't help but think something along the lines of genetics for hacking. Genetic Engineer maybe? Studying Outpost2 in depth, tweaking it's genes/code and creating new derived offspring.  :D

Should perhaps have something for the pure gamers aswell.

And don't forget those who know just about what it is to know about the game and it's history ;)

Outpost Millitary Units-

Tweak that in some way to define those of ya'll that just straight up own at murdering people in OP2.

i.e. Outpost Defense Militia

I'm thinking that dividing people up like this will create a sense of unity (talk about an oxymoron) within the community. When you can scroll through the forums and see the other people with similar expertise as you. Besides, it's too cool.

Highlander - the historical people would fit in the 'Elders' Catagory IMO.

I'm definitely feeling this whole idea though. If we can get multiple titles, which shouldn't be too hard, then we can have it divided up like previously mentioned.

Still thinking of ideas-

I feel the same way thablkpanda,

Hmm, Is this possible to do Hooman/Hacker/(any other Moderator who can work on it)?

This WOULD give people a sense of 'unity' at OPU. It also might help prevent 'anger' moments as I could say  :heh: .

Spirit is right, If you're opposed to the idea, why go and say, "oh it will never work" unless you want to get proven wrong (in most cases)

You're assuming ZZJ, Many people like the idea of titles because it gives the community a bigger sense of unity. Also, you find people with the same interests and can go to them for help if you have problems with something they are good at.
It's more than just having a title for some random reason. It makes OPU even more enjoyable to be on :D!!

You did that in the genesis forum, you said that there is really NO coordination. Well, weren't you wrong???
Similar idea here, things are not always as they appear!
To someone this may seem pointless, but to the other part of the community it seems like a very worthwhile idea and can be fun to design!
Doing projects like this also helps keep people interested in OPU. Sometimes playing OP2 with people over and over can get boring (not that OP2 is boring!), so people might leave. This is the kind of thing that will help people stay and feel wanted!

Thank you, Thank you very much *bows and trips off the stage*.

Ow   ...

Anyway, Let's get into the design of this :D. Let's make a wiki page and have everyone work on the formatting of how each thing should look, how everything should be done, etc. The wiki page is here: Forum Titles Wiki Page

Let's get it started!! (starts singing)... Ok that's enough fooling around ;)

 :heh:

I'm busy atm so I can't work on it. I will copy paste the stuff we have already and you guys can work on it. I will look at it later. :D

What good is a title?  Its nothing but words spoken thought of or writen down.  Actions and what you do should be enough.

yes, that is pretty much my opioion on this as well. I think you would be better off *doing* wt ur title would be than worrying about having one.

i rly dont know how you'ld implement something like this unless you let normal members edit the titles, and that has some drawbacks to it based on the system you want.
