I don't know if this is just on my end or not but I have had to write in all the smilies I make. when I go to click them it just tells me "Error on Page"

:P    :(    :D    :op2:
I don't have this problem. I click them and they appear in the edit-box. Works with the smileys from the extra-window too.

Hmm, I had a similar problem over at xfir's forum and he somehow magically fixed it for me when I brought it up. Seemed like everyone else had no trouble using the tags, or at least had them all memorized or something.

If you're running a version of windows Prior to WIndows 2000 it could very easily be Internet Explorer (versions less than 6 have this problem with the VB/PHP interpreters).  You can upgrade to 6 or later (via Windows Update or you can do a goole search and look for the IE6 for IT Deployment )

If you're using FireFox/Mozilla, while they're awesome browsers, they are still in their toddler years so there are going to be some thing here and there that don't work quite right.

Hope this helps.

Oh yeah! If you're using any version of IE or Windows, try also updating it because that usually helps clear things like that.

you were not alone ;) I had problems using them too but they work for me now there.

I have version 6 Internet Explorer and I am using XP. The smilies worked here until two weeks ago, then they just stopped working for me

I think Windows is having another moment. Just let it argue with itself for a bit.

it is quite likely due to a javascript issue.[all the smilys and such are donw thru javascript] try updating your browser and/or clearing your browser cache. also check that it is enabled as well.
