It's a really new way to look at OP2. It gives a fresh twist to the maps. And most of all, we like it :)

This is only the beginning of many more tilesets to come.

so just wondering, what speed equivalant are the tile sets?

are the flat green mosses about the same speed for vecs as flat sand or flat rock?

The speed is set when you create the map, I set the passable terran to Fast Passable 2 which is the same as normal sand.

Running, scrambling, flying
Rolling, turning, diving, going in again
Run, live to fly, fly to live, do or die
Run, live to fly, fly to live. Aces high.

Cynex is the one who is working on a art viewer then art editor. Hooman has also made a viewer. Once we can fully edit the art then we can change thos gfx coolzero. But everything in op2 has many gfx for each unit. So its a lot of work to change the look of a unit. But it will happen, someone will wanna do it  :)

Post in the tileset thread if u wanna brain storm etc about possible tilesets.

Hope everyone is enjoying playing on these maps and this tileset.

That is awesome! Hey, is there anyway of doing that with the vehicles and structures of OP2? Creating new images (that look nicer, more detailed, orwhatever) and replacing the old ones. Or being able to pick and choose which group you want. Also, any way of changing the tilesets for the campaign/colony games?

Yeah, all the vehicles, structures, etc are in OP2_ART and can be easily changed once an editor becomes available. They could be local to a single map (exe memory hacks), or become a game mod (edit OP2_ART files on disk)

The tilesets we could change now. The map file itself specifies to the game what tilesets are to be loaded, so if you change that, then of course fix up the map so it actually looks nice (the cliffs are where they should be, etc) you could do it. For *any* map that is.
