What is your connection type?

If you like, post your quoted speed(the specs your isp gave  down/up).

Please pick your physical connection type, not a equivilent based on speeds.

Cable,5mbs/400kbs

edit: ya i forgot bout that. lol

... cable, dsl and adsl can all be same speed, around 500k.

I have around 500k, and its adsl.

poll should say, connection type, not speed.

the 'A' in ADSL stands for asymmetric what means it has other upload-speed than down.

Yeah, Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line. The speeds are not symmetric, that is, download is faster than upload.

I have a max 384 kbps down/ 128 kbps up cable conn (as quoted by the settings pages within the modem itself, it's probably slower than that).

I have DSL, and it works fine. My friend keeps bragging about how he has something better that me, but when at his house, I can't tell the difference.
