OP2 post release demo...
« on: April 16, 2004, 11:08:34 AM »
I want to see the differences between the prerelease demo, the post release demo, and the full game. I obviously have the full OP2 game. I've tried finding the post release demo, but I keep running into 837827359781687523 prerelease demos, which I already have. -_-

Anyone know where I can download it that isn't GameSpot or FilePlanet?

Last time I checked, Ezekel's website had the demo.

The Forbidden Outpost 2 Forum ... they don't want you to know about it.
Yell if the above link disappears.

The download link works, he was propably just just lazy so that he didn't remove the  "Currently unavailable due to upload problems"

I get bad download speeds from freewebs though, around 1kb/s

Hmm...so what is the post-release demo like?

I had the pre-release demo, and it was what got me to buy the game as soon as it was released (or well, within a few weeks)...with the real thing, I never bothered with the Post Demo.  ;-)

It's not too different.... I think it's more like real op2 though. I cant remember since it's been awhile.

Freewebs is a horrible host. Slow speeds, bad method for "no outside linking", etc. Whenever there's an image in an <img> tag that links to a Freewebs-hosted image, it crashes the browser due to the method they use.

I have a new extreem speed server if you people want me to host any thing... i'll have to get it from someone and FTP it up - but i get almost a terabyte of bandwidth a month... A.K.A massive amount of fast downloads

I've also go a file manager, i can host ppl for 5MB unlimited bandwidth ... u cant have any ads and i dont force any ads on you...

5MB space or 5MB of speed/sec?

Usually with unlimited bandwidth, there is a limit on the outgoing, so you must have like a 5MB/sec upstream limit, correct?

well, its set up so that i am on a dual OC12 line... i guess there is a physical maximum bandwidth for that server, but for a personal website, i assume you would never reach it.  when i said 5MB of space, i meant just that, 5MB of space. and, i can give you more if you want it, i just have to set it as something :-)
