If I'm correct, it would take a 2576981 x 1932736 tile map completely covered in smelters to hold the maximum overall posting ore. This calculation does not include anything but smelters, I did not calculate the space in between them either. 429497 smelters in all.

Highlander has A LOT of ore.    4294967294

A lot of the older members are maxed out on ore.  In truth, the system is useless for us because there isn't anything we can really do with it.

Ore is useless. Its not even good for bragging, because its rather easy to max it out. I stopped to care about it long time ago.

It was good for getting the name effects at first, but once you have them, everything else is just...junk.

If e had an arcade or something ore could be used up in, that would make it useful.

For years I always though Blackbox's avatar was a gnome with a cape. Then around a year ago I realized it was in a clamp.

Why did I not see this?!?!?!

yup its a crazy thing i tell ya. All kinds of idea flew about this forum ore. I personally liked the ideas of using it to buy buildings and then produce units with ore then being able to attack people or defend. all fun stuff.

On paper it's nice, in practice...unless you have everything setup or someone who will take the time to make it, it's just fluff

fluff is good stuff. only problem these days is no one would use it because of the lack of people on the forums that are active.

So true: I would stay away from the forum for several weeks, someone attacked me and I'd be screwed. Or even worse: no one attacked me, nothing happened.

Years ago I might have found this a good idea, but today I have other stuff to worry about.
