Outpost 2 isnt a game built for everyone...

This guy says it's slow, Meanwhile on the forum people complains "waah i dont have enough time" and lowers the speed to one hehehe B)

Sure, games take a bit longer with OP2, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun to play.

OP2 is nice because it doesn't have a pop limit, unlike other games. (You could theoretically have 1000's of tanks)

Also, the game is sort of frustrating when you first start playing... It takes a lot longer than 35 hours to learn the game well. Once you know for example, the researches, etc. you can really go.

these people just don't know wht they r talking about, the only other review i have read gave op2 a rave review, 5 outta 5 stars, i think ur right about that review being biased garbage hacker.

well, as far as the graphics goes, I do have a very *VERY* slight objection to op2's graphics.... first of all they are stored inefficiently (bitmaps = big file) also the animations are a little long to run (like not the ambient ones, but the docks probably could go a wee bit faster)

Yeah the guy hasn't had enough OP2 experience..

By the way, he didn't even MENTION multiplayer in that review? did he? well there ya go, thats by far what makes the game fun.

if you are on hard, the enemy sends out a huge force to kill you, can you most likely cant survive more than 3

Well, for example on missions like the #4 in the campaign, the enemy units start out in the exact same spot every time.

On #7, the waves are predictable.. same number and type of units each time, and the wave comes from the same place each time.

hacker, are you good at AI? if you are, than mabe you could help knux and garrett build their game

on another note, the AI is compensated by the huge waves they throw at you, expecially on the hard level, it dosnt matter how perdictible they are, if you cant defend against it

Yes and no... I know how AI systems work... they run in a loop over and over, detecting for changes in the players.... like for example, say in C++:

See what I mean?

generally games use a "personality" system to determine what it does when another player takes an action...

For attacks the AI should take into account the number and how powerful the units coming are..... maybe scan the map into "zones" and check each zone nearby the base for attacks, etc.
