Op1 / Modern?

Hi Everyone,

I am a new poster but have been reading up a bit since finding the site.  Years ago I played Outpost until I couldn't see straight and loved it.  I plan to download OP1.5 as soon as I get a chance.  It seems to be no problem for XP SP2.

Two questions:

- Does the OP1.5 have any improvements to the interfaces?  Mainly is the research sections still a 'tree' style?

- Does anyone play any modern games that are close matches for our beloved Outpost?

Thanks.  Yeah I figured Outpost 2 was an upgrade but it was hard for me to see how much of one.

That is why I wondered if everyone enjoyed a newer game as well?

Well, Outpost 2's relationship to Outpost 1 is mostly just a namesake.

So, the question still remains......

In all of your opinions....  what is the game that is new/modern that comes closest to the fun or enjoyment of Outpost?
