yes i agree. I cannot endorse it after all the problems we had. therefore i will offer something to make up for it. a truely useful application that has already changed the world for the better.

Go get it and never be late again!

Works like a champ.

I think mIRC looks and feels pretty good. Is there really anything in this new client that I need that's not on mIRC?

There is avatars that can only be seen by whom ever uses that client. and thats just about it Alot of the other SUPPOSED features are either busted or werent incorperated and you get a nice error message telling you such.  Its really to problematic to mess with.

Stick with MIRC its simple and easy.

Personally i think KVIRC was made by a bunch of Linux Monkeys that dont want to fix things or update there site.

yea i spoke to one of the dev's last night personally and he's aware that the site download links to a 3 year old build. the latest builds crash constantly for me and nobody seems interested in helping. personally i find it a bit easier than my first experiences with mirc and i like some of the features. but its got just a couple nagging problems with stuff i use so often that they seem like bigger problems. im still giving it a shot and looking for fixes. i might just be doing things wrong.
