i just found my old copy of op2 and installed it but the res. is stuck at 640x480 how do i get it to change to 800x600 or 1020x768. i tryed changing the screen settings in the outpost file but it keeps going back to the old res.

Actually, it's.. well I'm not really sure what to call it but this took me an Age to figure out.
The problem is - or at least was when my OP2 got stuck in fullscreen 640x480 mode - the game's detected you're in a colour setting it doesn't like and switched to DirectDraw mode, which only works in 640x480 resolution.
Just mess about with you're colour settings ( High Colour, True Colour, etc.. ) until you find something it likes. 'Hope you're having the same problem I did and this fixes it!

Well yes if you had posted this years ago (before our tweaks to the game) I would of said change your settings to 16bit color from 32bit color so that the game runs in your desktop res but now with our version you can the game in your desktop res without setting your setting to 16bit color.

Ah... o.o
That Would explain why it ran so well on this machine, inspite of my finding I was running in 32 Bit.
Still, thanks a lot! I might poke my nose in IRC-wise sometime.. 'nice to be about somewhere that appreciates OP2 though ^^
