Ive started workin on a mod for Earth 2160 and Id like to see if/how many OPU users would be able to take advantage of it. Once I get the SDK, some amazing looking things will start to appear in the forums...

3 is good enough for me to keep working on it. since there basically is NO us community for this game, ill be the sole developer. everything else is german and russian. i think you guys will like how things turn out. i agree that the story is weak, part of why i dont mind butchering it for a mad :P

what do you want me to do for op2? i worked on tilesets but i realized that they look exactly the same as the originals. i dont think theres a way to imrpove on them unless you wanted some tilesets that include scenery objects that arent in the original ones but theres not that much to add. maybe if we had a doodad system??? other than the icons or tilesets, i dont know what i can do.

Make an OP2 map where 2-4 players have to raid a computer base. A REAL computer though, not that pathetic excuse for a comp on la corrida.

A map where you're all allied and the purpose it to kill the AI's base, or something. Where the point is not to kill each other, but to raid the comp base. Maybe have something like destroy enemy adv labs, steal enemy scientists, steal enemy gene bank, scan adv labs for military data, anything. Just a computer that actually does something besides build lynx and sit in the middle waiting to die.
Basically, a want a computer that at least pretends to be hard.

If you're talking about all those idiotic "7v1 comp stomp ownage lol!!!" games from Starcraft, no. I want the computer to be hard to beat, even if you have 4 levs/etc playing it. SC comp stomps just make people bad players (they think their good because they can gang-rape a comp, so they don't try to improve), I want this to make people have to think about what they have to do. But I want it to play by the human rules (no GoAI).

that would be difficult as one would have to write a strategy for every possible attack style the human player can present. Every AI has has some weakness and usually the only way to overcome this is which speed. this is why ais build faster and multitask. they cant think so they have to be faster at throwing units at you. this is the case for every game. even when playing banzai level 16 in total annihilation, the only thing that increases is the ai's willingness to multitask. An AI will statistically ALWAYS beat a human player if evenly matched since the comp can order every unit at once. ppl cant. i dont see how i could fix this problem since it is one of the single greatest issues in game design.

Make sure attack groups don't exceed 32? OP2 comps can only do what you tell them to. So tell it to only order 32 guys at a time.
(HINT: I don't know if that's even possible, but I like giving advice on things I don't know)

This is getting off-topic...
