Greetings, forumites!

I've been poking around in the code and fixed a few little bugs here and there. Should correct those pesky missing image issues with Yahoo IM (Yahoo itself broke that one by changing the API without telling anybody) and a few other little glitches here and there.

Let me know if something suddenly doesn't work or if you find any issues!

Huh, I thought I noticed some new icons under the poster's avatar.

Edit: The smilies are weird now. Kind of cute, thought I'd prefer some of the non-animated ones back.

I replaced them because the edges were designed for light backgrounds. These work on any background. I did a quick swap and can easily make some of them still. E.g., the basic smile and maybe the tongue out.

That's a good point about the edges.

I think one of my concerns here is there is a lot of meaning tied up in faces, and the meaning is not always quite universal. If you change the emote graphics, it can change the underlying meaning the original author tried in convey. Even subtle changes can have a big difference in interpretation.

Another point that is getting to me just now, is those animated emotes above the post textbox are quite distracting while I'm writing.    (That's right, shake that fist!)

Edit: Oh geeze, they mess with line height too.

I will continue tweaking them as I go along. I've made a few changes to lessen the level of animation. Definitely helped.

Line height bugged me too -- I'll get around to fixing that as well.

Smilies fixed -- not as 'cute' as the last ones but these don't mess with line heights and they don't have the dark/light background issue.

Better. I much prefer less animated emotes. Not so distracting.
