Greetings
« on: July 20, 2016, 08:07:14 PM »
Hello Everyone

This forum is a nice find. It seems I'm not the only one who appreciates 20 year old games.

Yesterday I dug up an old blue CD labeled "Outpost 1.5 ISO" - a game I once played in grade school.  Praise be to the creators of Dosbox I was able to get it running and there is such great advice here I would be totally lost trying to navigate the game without the manual.

See you all around the forums!

Cheers

Matt

Hey, Terrapin!

Leviathan and I put together a DOSBox Download with everything preconfigured to work. All you have to do is launch the batch file and you're good to go: http://forum.outpost2.net/index.php/topic,5788.0.html

That said, welcome! A lot of us here love old games. I'm an avid collector myself and the developer of OutpostHD (http://forum.outpost2.net/index.php/topic,5718.0.html). Before anybody jumps down my throat I'm not trying to do the shameless plug thing, just want to make sure new members know about a project they may be interested in. :P

There are other projects you may be interested in which you can find here: http://forum.outpost2.net/index.php/board,67.0.html

And if you'd like to chat real-time with some of our more active members you're always welcome to join us on IRC! :D You can get there by following the 'Chat' link in the nav bar or you can hop onto irc.quakenet.org and join the #Outpost2 channel.

Any questions, comments or thoughts by all means ask away. We're happy to have you here!
