A: Start by messing around with the map editor, or
B: read Sirbombers tutorials at http://forum.outpost2.net/index.php?showforum=103

I thought about whiting a tutorial to making the actual maps themselves, but I found the mapper to be so intuitive that it really wasn't needed.  The only suggestion I can give for using it is to get a few pallets to use.  I made a cliff pallet for myself to make that part of the map-making process faster...maybe I should upload it in case anyone else would like to use it...

You mean maps in the mapeditor? If that is what you are suggesting I already know how to map in the editor, it's the coding I'm intressted in. But you could still upload it, I'm sure it will be appreciated.

I might ask a friend who knows alot about programming. Cus I can't get MVS to work.

lol, I don't even bother looking at the forum sections anymore...I should start again

bomber's tutorials are great for kearning how to code the map dll's

you can also use the mapper to place units and get a file that will have the placement code for them.

If you want coding help, you should post in the OP2 Coding sub-forum, not the OP2 Mapping sub-forum, otherwise people will assume you're looking for help with the mapper.
