XMPP Chat gone?

hello, wanted to make a multi but am unable to connect to the char server, is it no longer active or is it me?

XMPP hasn't been active for quite some time. New Terran Command site still uses it but the channel isn't very active.

We've revived the older IRC Channel on QuakeNet -- you don't have to download an IRC client if you don't want to. You can use the "Chat" link at the top of the page or visit webchat.quaketnet.org. Channel is #Outpost2

Sundays are usually the best time to get a hold of people for games but you can drop in any time. It's still not as active as it use to be but if you're patient you'll get a response.

hope to get a game going with some people for old games sake, I'm rather attached to outpost2, would (and still) play it for hours on end.

As are a lot of us! That's why we're here.

I'm personally more attached to Outpost vs Outpost 2: 1) Outpost always held my fascination, probably because I received it as a gift when I was 11 and 2) when I was playing Outpost 2 about 12 years ago with others from OPU I wasn't looking for fast paced games but that's all anybody ever seemed to want to do so it left a bitter feeling for me.

But that's just me, there are plenty of others who enjoy OP2 and Saturday's / Sunday's you'll frequently see other users pop onto IRC for some games.
