Okey so thing didn't work out the way I wanted... way to many things to do on the same time. So here is all the source that I have right now, if anyone want, be my guest to keep coding but only if you do so under opensource.

This code and any based on it should be open and avaliable for anyone to use.

http://www.veus.se/Outpost3D/Outpost%203D%20Beta.zip

If I get more time in the future I will get back into this project but as of now I won't be able to work on it for an unknown time.

I still belieave that it is posible and hopw my code will help others.

I will ask any question about the project and code as often as I can.

A little screenshot of me playing around with unity 3d:

If ever a remake is made, unity feels like the way to go.

Nice to see an update on this project cell.

The graphics you have there are a bit reminiscent of the most early 3D games, but I kind of like it myself.  How is Unity comparing to the other tools you've used?

Yeah the graphics must be seen as placeholders.

There is a huge difference, before unity I had to program so much basic things myself (just to get things to render and have textures) but with unity it is more about the actual game. And the editor helps with alot even drag and drop with certain things. Its a very powerful tool and I recommend to try it out.

I will update when I have something new. testing different pathfinding packages now and it looks promising.

Nice to see, that you're using a platform independent game engine. I hope, the game will also be platform independent.

And are you going to use the free or the pro version of Unity?

Yeah that is another really nice thing about unity. Will allow me to upload playable content.

I'm using the free version at the moment but if I do manage to get the time to more or less finish I will get the pro version. But that can take a while.

I have updated the first post with some new info.

By using unity you will be able to test things from the browser.
I uploaded what I have now so check it out, its not much but:
http://www.veus.se/Outpost3D/Unity/OP2.html

I will keep that url and update it now and then.

Hi and sorry for the lack of updates.

There where some plans in motion where Fenrisul and I should work together but after that all kinds of other things got in the way.

During the coming summer I will do my best to take some time and work on this as alot of different things have setteled by then. There will be a period of 8 weeks that I will have almost no plans at all :)

I really hope to be able to at least add some new features and no matter if I do or not place all code in some kind of repository.

Its hard to believe how fast time goes by and how hard it is to focus on hobby projects.

I have been working on basic pathfinding and have found a library for steering behaviours that looks promising. Will try to upload a new version next week.
