Check out Outpost: Renegades - The new single-player campaign for Outpost 2.

And the game from the site comes with the Plymouth Cold War colony game.

Campaigns > you.
Renegades > Campaigns.
Therefore, uh... I forget where this was going.

Yeah, I enjoy the colony games the most. I'd sort of like to see more of them too.

I have a colony game someplace, but the AI only sits there and waits for you to kill it and there's practically no ore on the map.

I thought about making a Sandbox though. Should I?

But resources could be better used making more fun and original colony games.

I wouldn't mind a colony game without an enemy AI, and just a disaster-rich environment. Instead of going up against an enemy with pre-scripted building patterns and such, random disasters would add replayability.

And only you know what's "fun and original" Bonk?
And there are no sandbox maps. None in my OP2 folder anyways.

Okay, so you can play on a 32 x 32 map, or you can have free reign on a world map.
Your choice.

Its still a sandbox.

It just isn't as fun without some challenge. It's like playing on easy, except you don't even have any bases to destroy.

It's not all about destruction you know.
Of course, I could always throw in some perma-vortexes and megaquakes to make it more "fun" for you...

Its not fun if I can't fight back.

And fighting is the main fun part for me.

So you never fought against a vortex...

I like moving my base around, and that's pretty much what you need to do if you're plagued by disasters...

I've always loved the thought of a massive colony game. Maybe 2v2 AI plymoth on one side you and your allied computer on the other. Starts by you freeing your allied cargo trucks. After which point your AI will start building and will give you buildings for a start up colony.
