We apologize for the recent downtime we have had during the last couple of days. We had to move all OPU related stuff to some temporary servers, as we are planning on colocating our own machine in a datacenter (which should hopefully be more reliable than some of the ISPs we have been using).
We have also added a new IRC server located in Germany, which connects to the rest of our IRC network. If you are connecting from Europe, you can connect to irc.eu.outpostuniverse.net and you should experience much lower pings.
We apologize for the downtime. We will probably incur one more downtime in a few weeks or months when we finally switch to our own colocated server (this server is being built in the meantime and thus is the reason we are on temporary machines).
The datacenter in which we plan to colocate our machine is also (somewhat, probably a 7 hour drive for me) physically close to a couple of us (myself and garrett), so if we are having problems it might be possible for one of us to go there in person and sort things out.
