Noone wants a chassis that's heavier than Tiger. It's extremely unlikely to come.

Could be fun, but the Tiger is plenty heavy. I give thumbs down on it, 3 vech classes is plenty.

if the lion is going to be used I got some info about the lion:

Cost:3000 common, 1500 rare
Heavy armour
250 HP
Speed: slower than the Tiger
Takes 2 places (1x2)
Arming is like Tigers, but has 1 weak laser/microwave (strong as a spiders weapon)
BUT NO SUPERNOVA OR ANY SUICIDE SH**.- It will be strong like an A-bomb
Veh limit 1

anything else can be added later this is all basic.

it better be just suggested, because 250 hp is not heavy, no matter how much armor is on it

in my minds eye I've always had an image of the tiger as having 3 turrets, 2 are the specified wep, and one is always emp

but again, a chassis heavier then a tiger wouldn't be a good idea, it would bring the tiger down to panther status, and we all know how much panthers are used

True statement. I can't imagine anything slower than a damn tiger.

Perhaps make the fixed EMP or "spider" type laser a research upgrade for the Tiger?

That sounds good. We could upgrade it, it would have the 2 normal turrets but 3 scopian lasers at the rear for a little but more defence. We could up the speed a bit, and maby add more armor.

3 Scorpion lasers.. what for ? In case a starflare with 5 hp gets close ? 3 Scorpion lasers aren't gonne do much for the unit, except for the situation I just mentioned.

Betaray, if you lower this units speed 1 or 2 notches, Tigers won't be replaced.

Especially not with the crap Savant thinks it should have...
Anything new should be be based on speed and stealth (we need something with stealth) rather than incredible firepower.

This was a suggestion, probalby it's best not to have,
Tigers are strong, (too strong) it's best not to have any lion. Anyone who makes this first will win absolutley.

Sirbomber: Heres a stealth unit

Why dont we make a scout like fast vheical with the power of a lynx, that can cloak and become completely invisable on the map and looks see though on the actual picture.

It could have just a little more armor then a lynx. We could make so you cant dircetly target it with out an upgraded scout (Well upgrade the sensors to detect the cloak)

I personally don't like things you can't target without an upgrade.

-You could perhaps have a stealth vech that is untargetable when cloaked, but would have to uncloak to attack, thereby making itself targetable. It would also then be an excellent scout.

-Or have the cloak only work for a limited time. (Similar to a wraith from SC.)

-Or make the "see" upgrade available before the stealth upgrade. Otherwise a single cloaked unit could sneak in and destroy your lab. (Thereby making it impossible to research "detect".) Then you would have to sit by helpless while watching a single, untargetable unit destroy your base.

Stealth units and MONSTEROUS machine with 3 or more barrels just seems to be over kill and not needed since the Tiger itself is pretty set in the Grand over kill machine.  I think New weapons would be better then new over killing chassis.

I'm still not sure a unit heavier than the Tiger is needed.

We might need to consider what we mean by "stealth". Cloak? Can't see it on mini-map? Can't see it on screen? Can't target it? All of the above?

Well, gameplay wise (and real world) it would be better to have this split into two research topics (so you have to decide). You should be able to catch someone with their pants down. What I don't like is when you can't target a unit at all. That's why I think the "cloak" or whatever should have a time limit. Or the cloaked unit should be targetable/hittable by area effect weapons.

Another thing to consider is that this discussion about stealth units probably belongs in its own thread outside of the "Lion Chassis"

I thought it would be able to be hit by anything, it just cant be targeted. You have to hit the ground its on. A time limit sounds good.
