Op2 Colony Game Post Release
« on: October 20, 2006, 09:50:22 PM »
so i've got the most recent opu edition of op2, but the post release demo colony game still tells it to use the id reference for rare rubble - an item that didn't exist in post release i guess.
anyway, can't someone just change the id reference so the cargo truck gets loaded with the correct cargo?
i mean the time limit on the pre release demo's plymouth game was removed, so how hard could this be? (i'm sure i've mentioned this before)

Last I chcked, wreckage hsa to be on the right terrain type in order for it to actually be wreckage.
So, if they had it on the original map (Meltdown with sand) instead of just Meltdown (without sand), it might work better?

Yes, apparently it's some bug in OP2 where it depends on the tile (not even the terrain type; I think it might be even / odd-numbered tiles screw it up).

The ID is really a tech number; there is no "magic ID" for rare rubble.

It's just some bug(? maybe a "feature"), the only solution is to move the wreckage location a few tiles.

We could also change the tile the wreakage is on either in code, or directly in the map file.
