Err yes, have a nice trip.

Funny how replying doesn't occur to me until someone else does it. I read this a while ago now.

Oh, and I get a 5 day vacation at the end of my semester. Perhaps I'll post a thread at the time. =)

Well, I take it Stormy is already gone. Should we suddenly switch to past tense now in anticipation of Stormy's return? :P

So, how was your trip? Where did you go exactly?

It's funny how the first thing that comes to everyone's mind when going to a different country is the drinking age. haha

Geeze, how did that thing go now...? "... where the legal drinking age is just a suggestion!" (I think it was about Quebec).

And isn't there something better to do then getting drunk when you go abroad? I mean, that's the perfect time to rob a tourist. And what are they gonna do about it? They could end up pretty screwed then. Drinking while abroad just doesn't sound safe. Besides, wouldn't you want to be able to remember your vacation?  <_< (/me just hates drinking)

Why's that? most relaxed rules if you get caught drinking and driving / open containers in vehicle?

Banff, Alberta....

w00t

there was this internet cafe there, dude, it's awesome!!

They've got like, an hour of internet as $6.00 Canadian (a little cheaper in US currency)
All the latest games.... <.< I was SO tempted to load OP2 on there LOL. people would be like "WTF?" when they ran it, thinking it's all ghetto or something, and then they might find OPU b/c of that.... but I didn't.... hehe

It's pretty much this huge room with a LOT of nice computers.... I ran blender on one and it runs quite smoothly :P

Anyway.... That was my break.. I took some very nice pictures... and I think I'll upload them to a gallery somewhere for you guys to see ;)..

Alrighty..... :)

Kinda funny how, in his Canada vacation, he still thought about OP3. I would have just sent it all to hell. Like I did in mine.
Wannabe Novelist, Drawer, Anime Style, and all-around creative insane person. I also like to study tactics... but RTC games aren't exactly easy to watch for such things... we don't actually think as much as we should, and that's why I love TBS games. However, that doesn't mean I don't like RTCs!

$6.00 CAD ... is $5.45 USD.

I'd say that's a pretty steep price to pay for one hour of internet usage... Considering that I pay about $30 USD / month for a month of internet access.

Not to mention that the computers and network connection in the cafe are horribly crippled, I'm sure (filtering software, certain system policies in effect).

well I think this is not a internet  cafe because... he got a lot of game as he said... so he probly went to a perma lan thingy... Another fact to consider is simply the touristic nature of banff.

All in all this is why price seem to be high

Heh, the internet bars around here are usually from 1 yuan and hour to 2 yuan and hour. That's about 0.12$ US to 0.25$ US. (I usually go to the more expensive one, it's much nicer and has a no smoking section).

Btw, I'm on an AMD Sempron 3000+ with 1 GB of ram. Definately a step up from what I have at home.

Just wish I didn't get cut off from so many sites with the less than reliable internet connection.

Does your ISP do some kind of filtering or anything?

I looked at that email you sent me, the SQL query that was happening looked really odd (seems that the HTTP request was never completed for some reason).

It was something to do with the IBStore. Perhaps I can figure out what's going on and check for errors there so it will at least let you continue.

(That's one bad thing about IPB, if an SQL query fails it halts everything, and doesn't try to continue). And this isn't something easily overridden by just some places that might need it - the SQL 'driver' (really just a class that wraps the SQL interface code) spits out this error message and then calls exit() to stop the script.
