A Idea I Have
« on: June 08, 2005, 08:38:05 PM »
I am thinking after I move down to the rest of the world.  I might build a few cheap identical computer and sell them to the OP2 people that need them the most.  So people can have some better gameing and such.  Hell Ill even put XP Pro on there.  Just dont register it ;).  I wanna know what you people think of that.   The computer would be a 200 to 300 bucks.  I'll even take requests and build better faster stronger machines but those will cost more depending on what you want.  I might even be nice enough to pay for shipping.  I wanna know what you people think of that.

I like it freez. Seeing as I won't need it, it's a perfect idea to sell them @ $500. LOL. But seriously, the people that need those comps, happen to be the people that need the super-computers. Hacker, and...
uh.. well you got one potential customer. XP pro has to be activated and regsistered to use for more than thirty days, But we could get together, (virtually or physically) and work on a keygen for it. It's needed anyway. And people would pay good money for a decent one, that actually can be activated.

Give these computer-literate people some stats for your potential comps, I was thinking something like....

Intel Celeron clock @ 2.x GHz
512 mb of ram (upgradable to 1 gig)
Windows 98se standard (upgradable to XP Home &/or pro)
20 gig WD HDD
32 meg intel standard video card (upgradable to nvidia pro shizit)
(Use MSI Mboards)
56k modem &/or 10/100
etc, etc. Not any thing special, you kno.

Consider reselling accessories and network stuff. Like some wireless stuff, to order of course.

On my webserver, once it's up, I'll host a site for ya freez, and we can go mofo'in worldwide with this shizit. Complete computer service, of course we won't ship to (everywhere else) free of charge.:D

Tha realest Panda, always trying to make some cash flo.

Where have you been? someone already made a keygen for XP.

The trick is finding it, it's sorta hard to get ahold of.

However if you were planning on building machines to sell, you'd probably need to get legal copies of XP from the store or whatever and install them, giving the customer a real XP CD and serial number.

(If someone found it you were using cracked XP copies you could end up in hot water once microsoft found out)

And it is possible to see if your XP cd key was keygenned (Microsoft maintains a database and lets you go on their website to see if your key is valid)

Oh yeah, If I bought a computer from you, just give me the computer with no OS on it. (lol, I'd use linux or something)

That's an option, most of the people I'd imagine could install an OS themselves.

Btw, I don't like MSI mobos...  :find: ...at least not recently, hearing stories about a lot of the caps on them going bad.

LOL not my version of XP panda.  Its the Corp. Edition it doesnt have a 30 day activation and it wont ask you to register it but the register stuff is there.  LOL and it runs fine i use it on my other 2 comps all the time.  As for real serial numbers i know where I can get a s*** load of them.  Dell isnt very smart when the slapped them on the top of very one of there computers and i know these codes havent been used be cause the school bought a 1000 licence for xp pro.  I was thinking a cheap but workable 128 mb ATI or Nvidia vid card  2.0 ghz AMD or P4  120 GB hdd  normal size ATX mobo with 512 Mb ram a DVDRW/CDRW combo drive and a CDRW drive I would toss a free modem in there for who ever needs one to get to the net.  The case is the unknown factor here.   I just think that the people with the decreptied machines you just like to have a nice computer that can do so much more then there current computer.  Rocknavator has the slowest computer At P2 200 mhz and 48 megs of ram he needs a new computer.  But that is just a computer with no monitor keyboard mouse speakers.  but all that could be added on but of course it would cost more.   And i didnt think of some thing that gives it that OP2 touch and that is a Eden and Plymouth colored case maybe even with the player color that you want on it.  But im not sure if that one could pan out.
