Hi everybody! I hope that everyone has had good holidays and a happy new year!

Well, through trials and many, many troubles, OP:MIA has begun to finally really take shape. <sigh> Not much has been updated on the website simply because I have no time.

It also almost seems that people have lost interest in the project. However, this could simply be because there has been no new information, screenshots, music and the like.

Here's the bottom line:
====================================================

OP:MIA's design specs are complete, save for a few GUI elements which I'm fleshing out as you read this post.

The biggest difference between the graphics used in OP1 and OP:MIA is simply a new layout scheme and a conversion from 8-Bit BMP's to 24-Bit BMP's. To be completely honest, it's easier for me to process 24- and 32-Bit color schemes in my head than it is to do 8-Bit. Does anyone else seem to have this problem?

Anyway, so things have been moving. I'll be updating the website shortly. I have the next few days off as I've been battling illness for the past five days and my employer told not to come in until I'm better... :-D 104.7 fevers are quite convincing.

I really don't have any sounds that would work for the game. I'm sure that I could go ahead and use some from OP2 but that just wouldn't work. At least, it doesn't seem to fit too well to me. Anyone have any ideas?

Also, the sound track is seriously lacking. As I plan on leaving the game completely free, I guess I could use something from Star Trek or what not. I'm trying to stay away from techno/jungle type themes. Too many of my other projects have similar scores and I can tell you right now that you can definatly have too much of a good thing.

Anyway, that about covers it for now.

P.S.
Am I too wordy? If so, should I post more often?

As you said: Its hard to show interest if there's nothing to talk about.
I think, OP:MIA will become a great game. Keep working on it.

Thanks! I'll have a series of screenshots available soon enough (within the next few days). Those who have been visiting the website should soon see the difference.

Also, I'm going to be overhauling the website design to match the OP:MIA interface. Hopefully it will look good.
