and i'd say 4 mesa works well too... simply cos the map is so frikking large (and i always start far from the beacon...which always turns out to be a 1 bar mine

Ok, I'm tired of not knowing what levels have wreck so here are a few. I took at look at the imports for a few DLLs to see which ones use CreateWreck. The following Maps/DLLs all use CreateWreak:

(mu4_03) Rock Garden
(mu4_04) Barren Land
(mu4_08) The Rift
(mu4_31) Flood Plain

All of them are 4 player land rush maps (or so I'm told).

regarding the tiger speed improvement, in the tech tree, by that research topic, it has a comment similar to "Special technologies available to players in Land Rush games."

so yea, that would make sense if those DLLs import CreateWreck.

(also: CreateMarker is used to create those white flags to signify wrecks, I think)

Yeah gee... if only Sierra and Dynamix had realized that when creating Outpost 2... if they did it would've been hell of a more successful game.  :wacko:
