Outpost News Text
« on: December 16, 2018, 09:56:18 PM »
Been wanting to get the text for the "news articles" in Outpost for the longest time and finally managed it today. Attached are the text files extracted directly from the executable as a Windows PE binary file stores them. I've also added them to the Wiki for Outpost with adjustments to demonstrate the formatting intended from the original game.

I didn't realize how many 'articles' there were but I never really paid much attention to it.

Anyway, here they are!

These were fun to read through. Thanks for posting! While reading through them, I hooked the page back to the Outpost storyline page in the Wiki.

Ah sweet. I wasn't sure how to link it into the rest of the wiki so it's much appreciated!

Heh, nice, thanks for posting that.

... though as usual, colonist opinion is split between those who think access to information is a good idea, and those who think that no news is good news. ;)

Nope, just let hypoxia set in. They'll get all giggly and sleepy and everybody will have a hell of a time. :)
