I stand by my previous idea.
Just because 1 million people like it, doesn't make it good. It could be 1 million idiots for all I know and all you can prove. Truth is I don't know anything about it, but I'm kind of annoyed by what you're passing about here.
Think about the fan base of WOW. Is WOW a good game? Flashy, yes, lots of people like flashy, but definitely not that good.
'till now, we got #1.
#2 rating are generally BS. Take DS ratings. FF has immense ratings, whilst game like Knits in the Nightmare (which I've recently finished and liked a heck lot) have crappy ratings. Probably because the latter has complexity and difficulty, which FF does not. Feeding off the laziness of the players does NOT make it good.
#3 Programmers are not the holy class. I'm a programmer, but I'm a beginner at best. What if there's lots of people like me doing stuff to HALO? It only takes a bit of brains and some determination to do it.
#4=#1
#5 Forcing someone to respect something is a direct path to disrespect towards yourself mostly. Some people judge for themselves. Those who can't judge for themselves, no comment.
