Cold War - Crashes On Attack

I didn't see this posted anywhere so I apologize if it's a dupe.

Everytime I attack Plymouth during the Cold War scenario the game hangs.  Is this a known bug and is there anyway to fix it (patch,etc.)?

We know about it.  BlackBox, who coded that mission, just doesn't have time to fix it.  I know somebody tried to fix it, but I think they only made it worse, or broke other stuff in the process...

Somehow, when I would attack from the edges of the map it would crash, but when I tried a charge right in the middle, spearheading towards the Advanced lab, it worked  :huh:

I'm charging straight for the lab so it looks like I'm out of luck.
