Protector Class Guard Panther

I have come up with a solution to those pesky EMP grenades!

The Protector class Guard Panther utilizes a Panther chassis that has been equipped with multiple laser globes. The laser fblasts from the laser globes are practically harmless to large vehicles however they quite effectively shoot down incoming projectile, rocket and grenade fire.

Protector: Guard Panther
HP: 700
Armor: Heavy
FP: 6 MK. III laser defense globes (automatically targets incoming projectiles)
ROF: Ultra Fast (utilizes rapid discharge capacitors)
AP: Ultra Low
FP: Ultra Light
Weapons locations: one in front, one on a tall stalk on the top center of the vehicle, and two on each side of the vehicle
Ability: Can use laser globes as targeting lasers (allied vehicle recieve +45% accuracy when firing at specific locations on a vehicle)
Sability: May use one laser to target and the other lasers to fire on the exhast nozzle of an incoming EMP missile giving a small chance of causing it to detonate prematurly (20% chance)
Range: Short
Speed: Very Fast

The globe houses the mini laser turret just like a globe contains the scorpions Microwave Laser. Quite simply it protects the bigger beefer vehicles from projectile attack thus giving them more time to cut the enemy to shreds. In order to prevent the automatic fire of friendly projectiles the Protector utilizes a advanced computing system to determine which projectiles are going where IE: It calculates where the projectile is heading and what type of projectile it is (basically it determines the position of all the friendly it can protect and shoots down any projectile fire that is approaching itself or any allied vehicle within it's protection range.

Advantages: Exellent when dealing in medium to long range combat with enemy vehicles that utilize projectile weapons, destroys incoming EMP grenades (so your vehicles don't get EMPd), capable of providing pin point accuracy for allied vehicles attack a designated target, may shoot down EMP missiles.

Disadvantages: Decreased protection rating in point blank combat, can't defend from energy weapons, poor damage to enemy vehicles, may fire at friendly projectiles during a prong attack (IE: hitting the enemy from two sides)

That would unbalance the game so horribly its not even funny. Plymouth now has microwave, starflare and supernova available to use. Eden has laser, starflare, and Thor. Have you seen a microwave vs. thor battle? This is a bad idea.

Edit: wtf is "Sability".

How could something with a long cooldown be effective at stopping incoming projectiles? It would need to be impossibly accurate to do that, and in case you haven't noticed, vehicle computers have difficulty aiming at large moving targets as is, forget incredibly small and fast grenades. More likely this vehicle would need to just shoot a bunch of lasers non-stop to have any chance of destroying the incoming projectile(s), meaning anybody dependent on projectile weapons (Plymouth) loses.

Edit: Though it would serve them all right for spamming EMP Missiles.
