Question: Forum's Cgoods Factory
« on: November 02, 2006, 11:35:38 PM »
What's the Outpost 2 Consumer Goods Factory etc. thingy? Aka, when you click on a member's "inventory" and some people have things like "bank robbery" and name font changers. Things I know: I know what a consumer goods factory is from OP2. Somehow you get ore, posts I assume. But where in blazes did it come from and is there any more items ever coming? (most of the goodies are sold out it seems)

No one wan't to re-stock.
Why? becuse some Jack*** buys everything, leaving us, NOTHING.

I wan't restock. If there isn't any restock, than the Ores should go out, they have no purpose than. no one is buying, no one is selling etc.

Most people post stupid things just to get ores.
DON'T use bank robbery. You will go in - ores. someone alredy has -321 ores i think becuse bank robbery or casino.:find:

Okay, here's another option.

We could reset all the ore back to zero, restock the store, and let people start from scratch.

A bunch of people are already at the maximum (2^31 ore or something like that), and seems they always scoop up the 'increase interest' items even though they don't need them.

As for creating new items, we did discuss the idea of making it into a sort of 'colony' but this would take quite a bit of work (work that few people really have time for right now). Basically involves a recode of the IB store.

why get rid of it? thats like throwing your car away because you dont have time to change the brakes. just be patient. the store project isnt even being considered, at this point its just a cool idea.

Ok so who has the time and knowledge to code the mod?  thats what we are talking about here, we want the change but someone has to do it, not hacker because he already has so much on his hands!  I certainly don't have the knowledge or the time, does anyone else, who is willing to step up?

Untill then you can stick with what you have got.  the IBstore is only something on the side afterall. the main point of there being a forum is to discus ideas. The IBstore is just an incentive to post more.  Like loyalty cards

I can add things and change a few things, but I can't tackle the coding.
