Description:

So put tones guard post defened coloney  but lacks solid walls cause too low resources well what if when research laser fence upgrade that when 2 gurdpost alline in x or y direction that laser fense will form there. as vehicle pass between them. then it temporaly disactavate get through. But also power require for it, power deplete turn before turning disactivated. Well projectile take care wall if damga good enough temporay be disable for little bit

This is a good idea, because:

- Give cheap defence colony

This is a bad idea, because:

-make easy get surrounding defense up faster

The problem with a laser fence is

1. Its way to much like C&C they had laser fences
2. The power requirements of a constant laser strong enough to stop a vec would be insane remember the Meteor Defence (Eden Tech) has to recharge and uses 100 power.
3. Lasers heat up.

its scale down laser :P so not as much as factor.
last remeber c&c does not have laser fences.
Plus as more techology think of in future.

Lasers don't have a lot of range, and it would be cheaper to build 10 walls than to build a lot of Laser GPs.

C&C did indeed have it, didnt you play Tiberian Sun?

Anyways, the laser fences would indeed have a far too high power consumption, you'd need like 2 tokamaks just for them.  Besides, it wouldn't be that great of a defense, because the moment one of those GPs dies, you suddenly have a gargantuan hole in your defense.  That was always the problem that made laser fences useless in C&C:TS.   The Concrete Walls are fine for the games purposes.  However, this gives me an idea which I'll create a new topic for...
