the project isnt dead perse`.....

however since not enough pictures were submitted, it could not be completed for reunion. im still asking people to submit pictures but the collage wont be made until i get enough. if i could get a picture from all the irc regulars, id be satisfied but right now we only have some of the core members and thats not enough.

to answer your question moogle: the project isnt dead until the collage is made and it wont get made until i get more pictures. SO SEND THEM IN.

if i still havent gotten enough pics in a year's time, then ill repost the idea in a new thread to make it seem more "fresh"

we're already almost halfway to a year and only 4 usable pictures have been submitted. if you dont have a digital camera, go to a FedEX Kinko's and say you need a passport picture taken. then say you want a copy of it put on a floppy or cd. it will cost about $10. take it home, upload it and send me a link!

my avatar is not my pic, but my sig is technically my own pic. it2000us made it based of a conceptual pic I made a LONG time ago, and I shrunk it, inverted colors and added text to use as my sig. It is easily recognizeable as me, as it is the Sig I use at all forums

the point of the community collage is for it to appear as though we all somehow got together, had some drinks and took a group photo. anyone can make a collage of avatars and frankly that wouldnt be very interesting. i need headshots.

yes and in that time ive changed my mind, mostly due to the fact that EVERYONE wants me to use their sig or avatar. thats not the point. the idea was that only those who absolutely couldnt get a real pic, we could have no more than 3 or 4 ppl's avatars ir sigs in there so we would all know who they were. but having a huge poster of 37 avatars would make no sense.

therefore, until i get sufficient pictures NO avatars or sigs are allowed. if there two or three of you who seriously cant provide a pic but want to be in, ill use whats available but im not going to do it just because people are too lazy to get some film developed and scan it in. if you want to be in the collage, you have to send me a pic. besides, when its done im going to get poster sized prints of it developed and ship them to everyone who contributed and i think you have to do a little more than PM me a url to your sig to deserve that.

CK9: go to a kinkos or any other place that takes passport pics. they take the pic and put it on disk for about $10. if not that way, go to a mall. you see these photobooth things everywhere. once youve got a pic, take it to anyplace that has scanners and get it on disk.

Better yet, just go get a friend with a digital camera and ask them to take a picture of you, then get the jpeg from them.

I used to do that before I got a digital camera of my own.

Or you could go the old fashioned 35mm way. Take a picture, get it developed, and use any scanner to scan it to a picture file.
