im sorry, but my computer uses all it resources to cool itself offIt uses CPU-time to cool itself? That's a first!
stupid 1.5 inch cubical fan tryin to cool my whole laptop
it doesnt use cpu time to cool itself, my tweeked vesion of windows works with a series of relays that have been solderd in so that ALL spare electrical energy goes to the fanSooo......what you're saying is that if the CPU usage was to move to 100%, your PC would crash because all available power is being used for cooling?
no, im saying windws automatically opens or closes a series of relays depending on cpu usage, moniter color (some colors are more efficient), the power dedicated to the a:\ (wich i never use)Quoteit doesnt use cpu time to cool itself, my tweeked vesion of windows works with a series of relays that have been solderd in so that ALL spare electrical energy goes to the fanSooo......what you're saying is that if the CPU usage was to move to 100%, your PC would crash because all available power is being used for cooling?

Considering it only uses spare CPU-cycles.
when the power that has been dedicated to these tasks isnt in use the relay closes (or opens, i forgot how i wired it) and sends the power to the fan
can some 1 post the url to our team home on the site.Sure (http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=37855).
I'm first!Yup.... I have two comps folding... It will work without a problem.
So to be sure to hold my posison I have start up an other Computer with a CPU on 2 Ghz :(. I entered my name as my name is on the other computer: Tobias_Pahlsson_'Saibot'. Do you think this is gonna work because they dident say any about it?
*My english sucks*
The faster you do one the more points you get. The guy that introduced me to this does the option to run two at once since he has...I think it's called Dual Pipeline or something like that. Anyways, I am also doing it and I will see if it will let me switch over to ya'll's team. Don't worry, I haven't eve completed one since I can't get it through my wifes head to leave the computer on at all times. She likes to throw it into standby all the time. Not really...
and the monkey falles behind 40 points, with xamlit gaining fast.Jumps back into the lead!
Gotta love those 400 WUs
WTF? My first one was finally about to be done and now it is reset. It is back down to 13% complete....
I hate my computer. At the current moment my computer will freeze up if I try to do just about anything. It will automatically reboot just out of no where or it will freeze up at the most unopertune times. I need to just back up everything and then reload Windows on it. I will lose XP that way, but I think that it has to be done.

Ok, downgrade so your computer crashes less. :PThat would make it crash more........
Sad sad thing, no one has had an active processor in the past 50 days lol. Mine just went active again.Isn't quite true. I have just contributed my first WUs.
